As Route 66 approaches its 100th anniversary, San Bernardino County is inviting residents and visitors to help showcase the historic highway through a special Route 66 Photo Contest.

Participants are encouraged to submit photographs featuring landmarks, attractions, and roadside treasures located along Route 66 within San Bernardino County. Popular destinations include Elmer’s Bottle Tree Ranch in Oro Grande, the Bagdad Cafe in Newberry Springs, Roy’s Motel & Café in Amboy, the Cucamonga Service Station in Rancho Cucamonga, the Original McDonald’s Museum in San Bernardino, the Madonna of the Trail monument in Upland, and many other iconic stops that help tell the story of the Mother Road.

Selected entries will be featured on the county’s social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and X. Community members will have the opportunity to support their favorite photos, and the two entries receiving the highest combined number of likes across all three platforms will earn prizes.

The grand prize winner will receive a San Bernardino County Regional Parks annual vehicle pass, providing access to Cucamonga-Guasti Regional Park, Glen Helen Regional Park, Mojave Narrows Regional Park, Prado Regional Park, and Yucaipa Regional Park. The runner-up will receive a Big Bear Alpine Zoo annual pass.
