The San Bernardino County Department of Public Works—Special Districts has completed the CSA 70 F Morongo Valley Water Tank Replacement Project. This major upgrade improves the reliability and sustainability of the community’s water system.
Crews demolished an aging 220,000-gallon potable water storage tank and constructed a new 139,000-gallon bolted steel water storage tank. They also installed new piping, valves, and erosion control measures to support the upgraded facility and ensure long-term operational efficiency.
Throughout the project, work included site excavation, foundation construction, concrete pouring, crushed rock base installation, and final tank assembly. The new tank is now complete, fully operational, and back in service.
By replacing aging infrastructure with a modern water storage facility, the County is taking a proactive approach to maintaining critical public services. The completed project strengthens water storage capabilities, improves system reliability, and helps safeguard the long-term sustainability of water resources for Morongo Valley residents.
Committed to investing in infrastructure improvements, the Department of Public Works—Special Districts supports safe, dependable water service. These investments ensure the needs of local communities are met for years to come.
