Residents looking for a new job, a career change, or helpful county services will have an opportunity to connect with both on Thursday, August 27, when the Big Bear Lake Job Fair & Resource Event returns to Hofert Hall, 39707 Big Bear Blvd., from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Presented by San Bernardino County Workforce Development in partnership with Supervisor Dawn Rowe and the City of Big Bear Lake, the free event will bring together employers from a variety of industries, including healthcare, hospitality, retail, utilities, and more. Job seekers will have the chance to meet directly with hiring managers, learn about available positions, and make valuable professional connections, while employers can meet qualified candidates ready to join their workforce.
In addition to employment opportunities, several San Bernardino County departments will be on hand to provide information and services. Representatives from Workforce Development, Human Resources, the Public Defender’s Office, the Assessor-Recorder-County Clerk’s Office, and the Department of Veterans Affairs will be available to assist residents. Services include employment resources, record-clearing and expungement assistance, veterans’ benefits information, and Assessor-Recorder-Clerk services such as birth, death and marriage certificates, notary public filings, and fictitious business name statements.
The event is free to attend, but advance registration is encouraged for those seeking assistance with veterans’ benefits, record-clearing services, or employment resources. Register now at eventbrite.com.
