Supervisor Rowe is aware of the critical conditions on the ground in the Mountain Communities. The county has elevated this to a full unified command. All resources have been and will continue to be deployed to the mountains. The Board of Supervisors has asked the state for any and all resources they can provide, but we have not heard back from them. If you are in need of medicine, food, or other critical supplies, call the 24/7 county OES hotline at 909-387-3911. If you are in immediate life-threatening danger, call 911.
San Bernardino County Fire’s Girls Empowerment Camp is a free, two-day camp that will provide young people with an introduction to the fire service. The camp will show campers many aspects of a fire service job and provide professional guidance for pursuing a career in public safety.
The camp will be held at the Richard Sewell Training Center, 2824 W Street in San Bernardino on October 8th and 9th. This two day event will feature hands-on activity stations for campers to gain familiarity and experience with basic fire service functions. The activity stations will introduce rope usage, knot tying, CPR and first aid, ladder climbing, confidence building, and hose handling. The camp will conclude with a short graduation ceremony for families to attend at the end of the second day.
