San Bernardino County Code Enforcement and Solid Waste Management Divisions are teaming up to help residents of unincorporated Lenwood with a free community clean-up event. Mark your calendars for Saturday, January 18, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, at 25133 W. Main Street, Barstow (vacant lot west of Lenwood Market). Arrive early—containers may fill up before the scheduled end time.
This event offers a fantastic opportunity for residents to dispose of unwanted items, including:
- Household trash and bulky items
- Green waste
- Tires (up to 9 tires per load, including tires on rims)
- E-waste (electronics such as TVs, computer monitors, cell phones, microwaves, and more, collected by the Urban Conservation Corps)
Important Details:
- No commercial or industrial waste will be accepted.
- All loads must be adequately secured and covered during transport.
- Residents must unload their waste materials.
- Organizers may turn away oversized or hard-to-handle loads.
- Hazardous waste, including motor oil, antifreeze, gasoline, pesticides, paint products, and more, will NOT be accepted. For proper disposal of hazardous waste, call the Household Hazardous Waste Program at 1-800-OILY-CAT (1-800-645-9228).
