The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department presents “Lady Be Aware” classes to empower women with the mindset, abilities, and insights necessary to safeguard themselves from potential harm. Participants will gain knowledge in personal safety, encompassing cyber security, situational awareness, and home safety. The course will also provide practical self-defense instruction, covering firearm handling skills.

Spring sessions scheduled for Saturday, April 20, and Saturday, May 18, will run from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Instructors advise course participants to wear comfortable clothing as they can expect some physical activity. Classes will occur at the Sheriff’s Department Training Center, 18901 Institution Road in Devore.
