Job seekers looking for their next career opportunity are invited to attend a Hiring Event on Thursday, Sept. 24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Copper Mountain College’s Bell Center in Joshua Tree.
The event will give residents an opportunity to meet with employers, explore available job opportunities and make valuable career connections. All job seekers are welcome, and attendees are encouraged to bring copies of their résumé and come prepared to speak with prospective employers.
In addition to employment opportunities, several San Bernardino County resources will be available to assist residents during the event.
The Assessor-Recorder-County Clerk Mobile Unit will provide convenient access to several services, including:
- Birth, death and marriage certificate copies
- Notary public filings
- Fictitious business name statements
- Assessor property information for San Bernardino County properties
Attendees will also have access to record clearing services. Representatives from the San Bernardino County Public Defender’s Office will be available to meet with residents and provide assistance with starting the record-clearing process. Clearing an eligible criminal record can help remove barriers to employment, housing and other opportunities.
The Hiring Event is presented by San Bernardino County Third District Supervisor Dawn Rowe, San Bernardino County, Copper Mountain College and the San Bernardino County Workforce Development Department/America’s Job Center of California.
