This Valentine’s Day, the mountain community has a meaningful way to show some love. Mountain Transit and RIM Veterans are teaming up to host “Fill the Bus!”, a community donation drive dedicated to supporting local veterans in need.

The event invites residents to help stock a Mountain Transit bus with essential items that will go directly to veterans living in our mountain communities. From warm clothing to food and hygiene supplies, every donation helps provide comfort, dignity, and practical support to those who have served our country.

Organizers are collecting a wide range of new items, including:

  • Warm socks and blankets
  • Gloves, beanies, warm jackets, and sweaters
  • Non-perishable food such as canned goods, tuna, soup, pasta, rice, and protein bars
  • Hygiene kits with items like toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, and deodorant
  • Pet food for dogs or cats

The drive is designed to make it easy for the community to give back while running everyday errands. Simply stop by, drop off items, and help fill the bus with donations that will make a real difference in the lives of local veterans.
