Residents of Newberry Springs are invited to help shape the future of local parkland at a public meeting hosted by the Newberry Community Service District (NCSD). The meeting will occur on Thursday, February 6, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the NCSD Community Center, 30884 Newberry Rd., Newberry Springs.

This interactive meeting will allow residents, community members, and stakeholders to share their vision, offer feedback on proposed plans, and learn more about the park planning process. The Newberry CSD aims to upgrade the parkland to meet community needs for mobility, exercise, and recreation, ensuring it is a welcoming space for all.

Key topics of discussion include:

  • Park Amenities: Playgrounds, walking and biking trails, picnic areas, sports courts, community gardens, and more.
  • Accessibility: Ensuring the park is inclusive for people of all ages and abilities.
  • Environmental Considerations: Sustainable features and preserving the desert environment.
  • Safety and Security: Addressing concerns to create a safe and enjoyable space for the community.

Your input is vital to the success of this project! Attendees can express their ideas, provide feedback, and help guide the park’s future development. The Newberry Springs Chamber of Commerce will provide lunch.
