It was an evening of recognition and celebration as the Basin Wide Foundation honored some of the people who make the Morongo Basin such a special place.
Morongo Basin Field Representative Glen Harris joined community leaders at the Foundation’s Annual Awards Celebration, where he had the privilege of presenting the Lifetime Achievement Award in Memoriam to the beloved Stacey Schooler, daughter of Yucca Valley Councilman Jim Schooler. Glen joined the Schooler family in honoring Stacey’s life, legacy and lasting impact on the community.
Glen also presented certificates of recognition to this year’s award recipients, including Volunteer of the Year Kerrie Alley and Michael and Karma of Desert Bingo, recipients of the Together We Can Award. He joined representatives from the State Assembly, State Senate, Town of Yucca Valley and City of Twentynine Palms in congratulating all of the evening’s honorees.
