On Tuesday, June 2, Supervisor Rowe joined county leaders, public safety partners, and community stakeholders for a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new Valley Communications Center. This state-of-the-art facility is designed to enhance emergency communications, improve coordination among public safety agencies, and support faster, more effective emergency response throughout the region.

The 75,000-square-foot building brings together key emergency response functions under one roof, including the County Office of Emergency Services’ Emergency Operations Center, the Sheriff’s Department Valley Dispatch Center, and Consolidated Fire Agencies (CONFIRE) dispatch operations. By centralizing these critical services, the center will strengthen collaboration, improve information sharing, and support coordinated responses during wildfires, floods, earthquakes, severe storms, and other emergencies.

Built to remain operational even during major disasters, the Valley Communications Center features self-sustaining power, water, and communications systems. This new emergency operations hub represents a major investment in public safety infrastructure and preparedness, ensuring San Bernardino County is better equipped to protect residents and respond to emergencies for years to come.
