Residents of Devore can take advantage of upcoming Chipper Days provided by San Bernardino County Fire. This program, designed to help residents manage vegetation and reduce wildfire risk, offers free wood-chipping services at specific times and locations.

Drop-off at Station 2

On October 26th and 27th, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, residents are invited to drop off their vegetation for chipping at Station 2, located at 1511 Devore Road, San Bernardino. Please note that materials over 15 inches in diameter cannot be chipped.

Curbside Chipping

Curbside chipping services will be available on October 28th and 29th from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. For this service, make sure your pile is within 5 feet of a location where the chipping truck can easily access it. All vegetation should be laid in the same direction to facilitate easy chipping. However, due to traffic concerns, curbside chipping will not be available for residences on Devore Road or Kenwood Road. These residents should instead use the drop-off option at Station 2.

Important Guidelines

  • Residents must place piles by 8:00 AM on Monday or 9:00 AM on Tuesday.
  • Ensure that piles do not block roadways or pedestrian paths.
