San Bernardino County will open a Local Assistance Center (LAC) to provide in-person support and resources for residents and businesses impacted by recent disaster events in Wrightwood, Lytle Creek, and Phelan.
The Local Assistance Center brings together representatives from County, State, and non-government organizations in one location to help residents access information, ask questions, and connect with disaster-related assistance programs.

The Local Assistance Center will be open during the following dates and times:
- Thursday, January 8 – Saturday, January 10, 2026
- Thursday & Friday: 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
- Saturday: 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Services and Participating Agencies
At the Local Assistance Center, residents can receive information and assistance related to disaster-related losses, damage, recovery resources, and available programs. A partial list of participating agencies includes:
- California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV)
- California Franchise Tax Board (FTB)
- California Department of Insurance (CDI)
- Contractors State License Board (CSLB)
- California Employment Development Department (EDD)
- California Department of Public Health (CDPH)
- California Department of Housing & Community Development (HCD)
- California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA)
- California Veterans Administration (CalVet)
Additional agencies and organizations may also be available on site.
Shuttle Service Available to the Local Assistance Center
To help ensure access to services, free shuttle transportation is available for residents traveling between designated Care and Reception Centers (CRCs) and the Local Assistance Center.
Shuttles will run on a scheduled basis, with return transportation available every 1 to 2 hours, allowing residents adequate time to access available resources.
