In response to community concerns and as directed by San Bernardino County’s Housing Element, the County is preparing a study to evaluate the impacts of short-term rental activity on renter households and the availability of long-term rental housing in Mountain and Desert unincorporated communities.
The County will share the study background, data sources and methodologies, market trends for short-term rentals, preliminary findings, requests for community input and next steps at a community meeting in Big Bear Lake on Thursday, September 21. The meeting will be held at the Big Bear Valley Senior Center, 42651 Big Bear Boulevard in the City of Big Bear Lake, and is scheduled to run from 5:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m.
