Supervisor Rowe is aware of the critical conditions on the ground in the Mountain Communities. The county has elevated this to a full unified command. All resources have been and will continue to be deployed to the mountains. The Board of Supervisors has asked the state for any and all resources they can provide, but we have not heard back from them. If you are in need of medicine, food, or other critical supplies, call the 24/7 county OES hotline at 909-387-3911. If you are in immediate life-threatening danger, call 911.
Operation Provider is a local nonprofit group providing food, clothing, and emergency assistance to mountain communities. They are in need of a few volunteers on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day to help them with their free Christmas Day dinner.
The dinner will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Skyforest Elks Lodge, 26584 CA-18 in Rimforest. It is open to anyone in the mountain communities. Toys will be given to kids and Santa usually makes an appearance!
For questions about the event, please call (909) 337-8585.
