The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department is offering “Lady Be Aware” classes for women who want to develop the attitude, skills, and knowledge that will help prevent them from becoming victims. These single-day training events will be held on Saturday, October 28, November 18, December 9, and 16, with additional dates set for 2024.
This valuable course covers many aspects of personal safety, including cyber security, home safety, situational awareness, and physical safety. Participants will also receive hands-on self-defense training, including how to shoot three different types of firearms.
“Lady Be Aware” coursework occurs at the Sheriff’s Training Center in Devore. The cost is $75 for the full-day class. More information and sign-ups are available only through email. Get started by emailing ladybeaware@sbcsd.org.
