SUMMARY:Girls Empowerment Camp - San Bernardino
DESCRIPTION:San Bernardino County Fire’s Girls Empowerment Camp is a free\, two-day camp that will provide young people with an introduction to the fire service. The camp will show campers many aspects of a fire service job and provide professional guidance for pursuing a career in public safety. \nThe camp will be held at the Richard Sewell Training Center\, 2824 W Street in San Bernardino on October 8th and 9th. This two day event will feature hands-on activity stations for campers to gain familiarity and experience with basic fire service functions. The activity stations will introduce rope usage\, knot tying\, CPR and first aid\, ladder climbing\, confidence building\, and hose handling. The camp will conclude with a short graduation ceremony for families to attend at the end of the second day.
