Third District Field Representative Glen Harris took part in the recent Community Preparedness Event in Yucca Valley. Volunteers from multiple agencies were there, teaching Morongo Basin residents emergency preparedness and self-reliance practices that can be used in the event of an emergency. Attendees saw presentations from American Red Cross, K-9 dog training demos, San Bernardino County Fire, Morongo Valley Health Care District, High Desert Emergency Action Alliance, and more. Glen also honored event organizer Marjorie Smith with a Certificate of Recognition, thanking her for the work she put in to bring all these resources and organizations together.
